After a long winter of being cooped up inside, KMR was happy to finally be able to dust off the bikes and get back to the traditional Sunday Ride.

Can we call this a “bike gang”?
The preferred term is “degenerates”.
“Hobos”?
We don’t ride rails.
I have a Fine Young Cannibals song in my head now. Was it them that had a video of a bunch of rough boys riding around on scooters?
Scooters are different than mopeds, but yes, that song is still awesome.

Mopeds! I did not know they were different from scooters. How embarrassing. This is like when someone walks into the bike shop and says, “I just want a simple bike. It has to be light. I want to do an Ironman on it. And it has to be no more than $300.” And then I assassinate the customer for ignorance. Please forgive mine.
Meh, no big deal, it’s a pretty common mistake. General rules: If there’s pedals and no motor, it’s a bike. If there’s a motor and no pedals, it’s a scooter (or motorcycle). If there’s a motor AND pedals, it’s a moped.
If it has narrow tires and drop bars, it’s a road bike. If it has wide tires and upright bars, it’s a mountain bike. If it has narrow tires and upright bars, it could be a city bike. If it has drop bars and wider tires, it could be a cross bike or a gravel grinder! Oh Gee! What fun!
